Robbie Burns Night Supper, St. Alban’s Church, Kenora, Ontario, January 28, 2023

On January 28th, St. Alban’s church hosted a Robbie Burns dinner.  Amanda Todoschuk was available to be a piper for the evening, and when they were informed that Wes Sheppard would be in town, he was asked to perform as well.  There was a fabulous dinner served, and haggis was the star of the meal.  Wes piped the haggis in, and an address to the haggis was given.  After dinner, Amanda and Wes both played for the dinner guests.  Amanda played a solo, then she and Wes played 3 sets as a duet before Wes played a string of beautiful, high paced tunes that got the crowd on their feet.  The evening ended with a duet of “Amazing Grace” and a march out to the “Green Hills” set.
