Remembrance Day – November 11, 2021
This day of 2021 began with Kenora’s first big snow storm of the winter. Ceremonies this year allowed members of the public to attend where last year Covid-19 prevented it. Band members Cathy Giroux gave the blessing and Amanda Todoschuk was asked to be the piper this year. The ceremony began at 10:30 am in the auditorium at the Kenora Legion , 300 McClelland Avenue and the two minutes of silence ended with the lament of Amazing Grace at the 11th hour. After the ceremony, everyone was invited downstairs for camaraderie, beverages and chili with a bun.
