Remembrance Day – November 11, 2020

Remembrance Day 2020 will be different this year due to the ongoing pandemic of CoVid-19. Events, if any, to date in the area have not been scheduled.

The Chief of Defense Staff for Canada, General Jonathan Vance, has stated that Remembrance Day has been stood down for this year.

The Kenora Legion held an online live stream video of the closed service which they held inside their building on Matheson Street and one of our pipers, Bob Stewart played at their service.

Another one of our pipers, Amanda Todoschuk, braved the cold weather and played “Amazing Grace”, “Balmoral” and “My Land” at the Lake of the Woods Cemetery.
