Remembrance Day – November 11, 2022 – Kenora Legion

The day began with the exact same conditions as last year – a big snow storm. Amanda Todoschuk was asked to be the Band piper at the Kenora Legion for this day of Remembrance. Wes Sheppard accompanied her and thankful for the assistance with support and tuning. The Colour Party looked very smart and marched beautifully. The trumpeter Lee Morris, Wes and Amanda played for a full room, despite the snowstorm. Amanda was asked to play the lament to break the two minutes of silence, and that tune was “Amazing Grace”. The First Nations drummers played next, and the beat could be felt throughout the room.
