Piping Demonstration, Evergreen Public School – May 17, 2019

On Friday May 23, 2019, pipers Cecil Burns and Amanda Toduschuk entertained the grade 2 & 3 classes as well as the day care kids at Evergreen Public School. The pipers were requested to attend and do a demonstration as the students were learning about different cultures from around the world. Amanda and Cecil explained the various parts of their uniforms and told them a little bit about the highland bagpipes. They also played a variety of tunes and led the students in a march around the gym to the sounds of “High Road to Gairloch”. At the end, the pipers were peppered by many questions as only youngsters can. The session ended with a group photo.
