Beaver Brae Secondary School “Cozy Cultures Day”, Kenora, Ontario (December 16, 2022)

On December 16, 2022, Beaver Brae Secondary School hosted a “Cozy Cultures” celebration for all students from grades 7-12. There were tons of free food from around the world, crafts to make, activities to join and performances to celebrate the fact that BBSS is a very multicultural school. There were door prizes to be won and Beaver Tails were selling their famous pastries. There were special guest performances by hoop dancer Jody John from Eagle Walker Collective, Les Filles D’Esprit and a surprise rock band.

One of the performing groups for this event, was our very own Liam & Macy Forster who played several Scottish tunes on pipes & drums. Liam and Macy grew up within the Kenora Scottish Pipe band family and we are very proud of their accomplishments!
