Annual Cadet Review – Private David Kejick, DCM, Armoury, Kenora, Ontario (June 10, 2025)

On June 10, 2025 members of the Kenora Scottish Pipes and Drums attended the Annual Cadet Review at the Private David Kejjck, DCM Armoury, Kenora, Ontario. The ceremony got underway at 6:30 pm when the band piped the cadets into the drill hall to the Scotland the Brave/Rowan Tree/Wings 4/4 set. Following the review and presentation of awards and promotions, the band marched the cadets off the parade to the High Road to Gairloch/Mairi’s Wedding 2/4 set.

The Kenora Scottish Pipes and Drums fulfil this role each year in thanks to the Armoury for allowing us to use the facility for practices and to house our uniforms, instruments and other equipment. It is truly appreciated.

This was the first official gig for three of our Drum Corp members: Wyatt Thibault, Melanie Patterson and Steve Grindrod. Well done drummers! Two familiar faces also joined the band for the evening: pipers Lori Hoppe and Keith Templeton – welcome back!
