Hockey Day in Kenora – February 18, 2017

On February 18, 2017 it was a very busy day and an extremely busy week for the City of Kenora – it was our turn to have “Hockey Day in Canada”! Hockey celebrities could be found all over town including Don Cherry, events taking place everywhere including a Pond Hockey Tourney on Lake of the Woods and one special event where our Kenora Scottish Pipe Major got to pipe in the coveted Stanley Cup at the Stanley Cup Breakfast held on Friday February 17th. Don Cherry, Don McLean, Lannie MacDonald were just some of the recognizable faces that participated in hockey related activities all over Kenora.
